Amarone is a legendary, assertive wine from the Valpolicella area in northern Italy. Its uniqueness and character comes from the addition of partially dried grapes during fermentation. Dried grapes boost flavour concentration and create an intensity not found in regular wines. The depth created in the wine may be likened to Port or late harvest wine but without the sweetness. A truly remarkable wine experience!
After 2 years of development, Cellar Craft has created a new process resulting in the most impressive Amarone style that you have likely ever experienced.
Our wine is built upon a blend of juices and concentrates from traditional Italian varieties.
Our new "SUPER PACK" of crushed grapes and whole, sun-dried grapes is added to the juices for traditional on the skins fermentation character and the maximum infusion of the concentrated, natural essence within the dried grapes.
In all, 14 pounds of virgin, vinifera, varietal grapes are used to produce the SUPER PACK. 40% more than our regular "Crushed Grape Pack"!

Wine notes:
Full-bodied, deep garnet color and richly dry.
When young, tannins are firm and there is a slight bitterness to the wine which is balanced by the flavors of fruit and oak. Look for plum, sour cherry, raspberry and vanilla.
With age, the tannins soften and notes of anise, bitter chocolate, coffee, tobacco, leather and fig develop. May be cellared for 2 years or more.
Long, lingering finish.
Alcohol may exceed 15%.
Pairs best with the most flavorful red meats, especially game, and hard, well-aged cheeses. Parmigiano is a good match. Great after dinner wine with walnuts or other favorite nuts.
